Melon
The melon, of Asian origin, spread around the Mediterranean in the time of classical Greece, and from there to the rest of the world. Melons are very popular and are the fourth most commonly eaten fruit worldwide. They have diuretic and blood-purifying properties and are very good for the skin. They are consumed raw and because of their sweetness they have traditionally often been used as a dessert.
